The Team

Brian Green

Brian has been a Trustee of the Trust since its inception. His son was treated at the same time as Joe for a similar cancer so he is well acquainted with the needs of families that the Trust seeks to help.

Brian’s background spans over 30 years in senior finance roles, playing pivotal FD roles and sits on the board of several companies. He is the founding director of accountancy practice, Continuum, his burning ambitions is to make a genuine difference to the lives of children going through cancer and their families.

Helena Harris

Helena worked at Colden Common Primary School for eleven years, during which time she had the honour of knowing Joe and his family. Through volunteering at Radio Lollipop at Southampton General Hospital and meeting parents of very sick children she can understand how difficult it is to support a child through a life threatening illness, without the added financial pressures that arise and feels this is why The Joe Glover Trust is such a worthwhile charity to be involved with.

Jacqui Scrace

Jacqui was Joe’s Community Children’s Nurse, providing nursing care for him at home and in hospital as well as helping to support his family throughout treatment. She qualified as a children’s nurse in 1997 and has paediatric oncology experience across both the acute and the community setting.

Jacqui is passionate about achieving the best possible care and getting it right for children and their families so was keen to accept the invitation to become a Trustee for The Joe Glover Trust.

Arabella Westwood

Arabella has been a Trustee since March 2013. As Joe’s cousin, she has witnessed first hand the devastating effect cancer has on families.

Justin Wright

Justin works as a Specialist Children’s Social Worker leading the two community Children’s Nursing Teams at Basingstoke and North Hampshire and Royal Hampshire County Hospitals. During his time in this role, he has seen the challenges families face and have been overwhelmed by the strength and courage shown. Justin feels that the uniqueness of the Joe Glover Trust is that decisions are typically agreed quickly and the awarding of grants is decided by people who really appreciate the difficulties families are experiencing.

Maxine Glover

As Joe’s mother, Maxine has had a first hand experience of the devastating effect cancer has on families. Maxine is proud to have created the trust in Joe’s name and hopes to help many families in similar positions.

Jane Wilmshurst

Jane has been working for the Trust since January 2012, having been a Trustee for 12 months prior. Jane has worked at St Thomas’s Hospital and Guy’s Hospitals and became Managing Director of a small business. As Fundraising and Events Manager for The Joe Glover Trust , every day is different!

Jane feels very privileged to work for the Trust as she meets some really amazing people – whether it is a child and their family, brilliant fundraisers or working with one of the wonderful Corporate supporters.
